Who Are We?
Rise Initiative is a free mentorship program dedicated to empowering young men in Black and Brown communities in the inner city of Chicago. Our mission is clear and impactful, to help Black and Brown male youth navigate the obstacles of gang involvement, violence, and lack of guidance— allowing them to grow into purposeful, disciplined, and dignified adults. We aim to be the essential support system that many of these young men have yet to experience, offering mentors who are present, attentive, knowledgeable, and exemplary in their leadership.
